DB backup isnt hard to do, but emailing it could become large, if I was you I would have it backup to a local file on your server, but out of public view.

A DB backup doesnt have to be script specific as it could be run as a cron seperately.

I think it should call the seo_str_plain function instead of the seo_str function.
