How Chinese people surf on my site!?

Don’t understand me wrong here; I have nothing against Chinese people or any other.

I just find it strange, I see on my live visitor tracking, 50% Chinese visitors go after the home page to the password reminder page on BannerFlux!?
They don’t try to login before, so why they go to the password reminder?

I get about 50 visitors from China a day.

perhaps some bots? How long do they spent on the site? are they using real (or real looking) email addresses?

really strange.... the only link for the password reminder is at the bottom, right?

Are the coming from a specific site? or from everywhere?

There is another link uner "Users". They come from SE and the link shown on the bigger banners "Bannerflux ads" so all looks human for me.

    Cool
I have nothing against the Chinese either and I LOVE Chinese food but China is notoriously known for spawning hackers and like Ricky said and it sounds like to me also, someone is trying to steal BFs' users' passwords or something. I dunno.........these are chinese users that visit bannerflux homepage first?

Problem is, it is so easy to get around an IP ban it's not even funny. If I wanted to, I could log in from 4 different IP addresses, from 4 different continents, in quick sequence. And if I wanted to unsecure IE for a bit, I could do it 2 IPs at a time. An IP ban might slow down an inexperienced hacker, but probably not, and could lock out a real user. It probably would not seeing as how most Chinese internet users are pretty savy, but it could.

If you narrow it down to it definitely is a hacker on a specific IP or subnet, then perhaps an IP ban. But even then they just switch to a different IP, and you wind up with them having fun with you by switching IPs as fast as you can ban them.
