There are many ways to market your site. Article marketing is a powerful way to get your site known and build quality backlinks. The best way to do this is to write a 400-600 word article about your site, a game you feature, or about your arcade's genre. All directories will allow you to attach up to 3 links to your site. It is best to write an article that is meaningful and provides some sort of value to the reader. Quite a few directories have high google page ranks and high traffic volume.

The beauty to this technique is submitting to directories that allow re-publishing of your article. A few examples of these sites would be: sooperarticles.com and ezinearticles.com. Not only will your links be active on your article on the directory, bloggers will publish your article on their blogs and will leave a link back to your site.

The more links you have (utilizing your keywords) the higher in search engine results pages (serps) your site will rank. Article marketing will provide one-way links to your site which Google places a higher value on (reciprocal links carry less value but still effective).

Article marketing usually takes time as with any SEO, but is well worth the effort. Good luck!

I used articles for Mibbi and it worked out for me. If you use KWs "arcade banner exchange" on google.com I have been bouncing top 3 spots.

yes, Ive seen similar results with articles Ive written for my sites. For one keyterm I was sitting on page 8-9 of google and after 4 months time and about 8 articles the site is solid 3rd page and yesterday was upgraded to bottom of second page. Several of my articles have been republished on blogs. Google tends to give more weight (Ill explain): When bloggers "blog" about something, for instance our sites, google calls this a "buzz" and with the new algorithm this "buzz" or links from blog posts (especially high pr blogs) is given more weight as they are telling google your site is becoming popular.

Hey when you submitted to the 400 sites, did you use the same article or spin them? From what I understand if the article isn't unique enough to google, it wont get indexed. Although, when I first started article marketing I did so this also but spun the original with software and submitted it to 700+ sites (actually had this outsourced) and I saw good results. However many directories might not accept your article if it isnt unique. Out of the 700+ submitted to, I doubt if 100 or so were accepted and published.

Ive actually come across some nice software called "The Best Spinner" Its a paid subscription but it is well worth it and very powerful. I only use the software to stream-line the re-writing process as it has a user updated database of synonyms and related phrases. Then you tell it to spin and it produces different articles with the specified word/sentence changes. I can now re-write 4 articles in the time it took me to re-write 1 article. hehe I love it! Now I just need to start working for my sites again, lol.

Article marketing is really how I got started in IM. I know it is hard to tell considering how famous I am on arcade boards for really short posts. I have used spinning before but now I am old and lazy so most times I just strategize a bit more if I am feeling like doing articles. I have seen good results even with out spinning but to get them indexed a good Idea is to make an Rss feed for them all and ping it + drop some links to them in other sites or social bookmarks. They will show up beter like that and working Keywords in the title and first opening sentences is very important as well.
