Geesus 499k backlinks in webmaster tools?!?! Damn good work bro! I have the same situation as you.
assassinarcade.com has 55k in google and 21k in Yahoo.............it was just the last few weeks google has found all these links and every few days it ads 5k more. I think google is ramping up for its next PR update VERY soon. Site has been doing the google SERP dance a lot lately.
I have the same issue too Stephan! My webmaster tools show around 157,000 links...Not sure what it is counting to do that, but it looks pretty impressive!
I dont understand bing either. But I got some crazy news yesterday from one of my mailing letters that is on topic to this. Im not sure how credible it is, but its from a large webmaster site, so the guy says:
"yahoo is implementing the same search algorithims as bing currently uses." he goes on to say that yahoo search might mirror image bing soon. we'll have to start another thread for this.......
nice, perhaps some links on sites with thousands of games?
For my site cheekugames.com also its showing 60,000 links and adding like 5k every few day, i think the new google search algo has gone mad, this way it will mess up all the rankings , also google is trying to fix something which was already quite good by this caffeine thing, no wonder the PR update did not take place at the expected time of 1-7 July. If google messes up yahoo is all set to replace it.
Regards
Cheeku
I checked the links, the most index ones I have from old sites with PR3 / 4, so looks like Google like them more.
